Business leaders and government officials are offering $12,000 in rewards for help in finding the person or people responsible for a pair of recent fires at judicial buildings in Lancaster, S.C.
The tips are in connection with an Aug. 4 fire that heavily damaged the 180-year-old Lancaster County Courthouse, and an Aug. 7 blaze that gutted the district attorney's office, a short distance from the courthouse. Lancaster County officials have decided to rebuild the courthouse.

No estimate has been released for damage to the courthouse, but officials say the blaze at the prosecutor's office caused $200,000 damage.
A reward of $10,000 is being provided by the Lancaster County Council, and a Lancaster County historian is offering another $1,000. In addition, the S.C. Independence Insurance Agents and Brokers group is offering a $1,000 reward.
