Great Harvest's animal benefit

Great Harvest Bread Co. will host an Animal Kneads Day 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. next Sunday at 901 S. Kings Drive, Charlotte. Those who donate $10 will get their choice of a loaf of bread. All proceeds will benefit the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Animal Shelter's programs

Children's theater

Want to see a play?

The African Diaspora Arts Program and Theatre will present a children's play, “My Attic's Treasures,” at 3 p.m. today at the Charlotte Museum of History, 3500 Shamrock Drive. Tickets are $5.

It will feature 30 children ages 5-15 from the theater's camp, now in its second year.

Family fun

The Charlotte Museum of History will host “Family Fun Night: Treasures” 5-9:30 p.m. Thursday.

There will be a Barnes & Noble book fair. Children can investigate artifacts in the museum's collection and watch the movie “National Treasure.” Cost for members is $3 for ages 6-12 and $7 for adults; nonmembers, $5 for ages 6-12 and $10 for adults. Reservations are required; call 704-568-1774.
