Huntersville police are investigating after a body was found in a home on Cramur Drive off N.C. 73 at 10 a.m. this morning.
Huntersville police officials said department is treating the discovery as a homicide. Captain Michael Kee said the male victim was discovered after the homeowner's ex-wife could not open the door and noticed a smell.

Kee said that the deparment believes the death occurred several days ago, due to decomposition of the body and the fact that newspapers had been left outside the home since at least Sunday. He added that blood was found throughout the home.
“(The blood) is what makes this suspicious,” Kee said.
Police officials are expected to continue their investigation at the home throughout the night, Kee said.
