Cleveland County authorities continued searching today for a 46-year-old woman missing from a rest home that has been the subject of repeated complaints and state violations, including investigations into the deaths of at least two residents.
Mouy Tang, a resident of Unique Living in Fallston, was last seen around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday in the parking lot of Burns High School, about two miles away from the adult care home, according to Capt. Bobby Steen with the Cleveland County Sheriff's Office.

He said there was an unconfirmed sighting in the same area by a student around 1:30 p.m.
Searchers with bloodhounds combed the wooded area of northern Cleveland County until around 10:45 p.m. Wednesday. They were back on the scene early today with fresh dogs.
Karen Ellis, deputy director of Cleveland County Department of Social Services, said Tang is schizophrenic and a diabetic who requires insulin and pills. Ellis said Tang didn't report to breakfast Wednesday morning.
“She's not eating and didn't take her midnight dosage (of medication) or pills after breakfast,” Ellis said. “This has me very concerned.”
Although Tang speaks English, Ellis said her “communication is limited….she gestures a lot and says a few sentences.”
The operators of Unique Living were unavailable for comment.
County and state regulators have investigated the center, formerly known as Yelton's Assisted Living, since July 2006, when the body of a 59-year-old resident of the home was found behind the center six days after he disappeared.
Earlier this year, Cleveland County requested a state takeover of the troubled nursing home and also asked that it be closed to new admissions.
Ellis said the state has not yet responded to the requests.
A native of Cambodia, Tang has been a resident at Unique Living for about 15 years, Ellis said.
According to Ellis, Unique Living immediately reported the missing person to DSS and law enforcement.
She said DSS is investigating the incident.
