Charlotte fire officials say crews make quick work of a house fire late Sunday night in east Charlotte, not far from the uptown area.
The blaze was reported about 11:15 p.m. at a residence in the 900 block of Allen Street, which is between Hawthorne Lane and Seigle Avenue. Officials said firefighters encountered smoke and flames when they arrived.
But it took the crew of 27 firefighters only 10 minutes to subdue the fire. There no word on damages and a cause.
