Fundraising award: For the third consecutive year, the Ballantyne Country Club has been named the top fundraiser in the nation for Rally for the Cure, which supports Susan G. Komen for the Cure. The Rally for the Cure raises awareness for breast cancer and funds for research. It also provides mammograms for underserved communities. The Ballantyne Country Club Rally raised $168,000 in 2010. Chamber meeting: The Ballantyne Chapter of the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce will hold its monthly meeting 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Feb. 3 at the Ballantyne Hotel & Lodge, 10000 Ballantyne Commons Parkway.
