Celebrate racing in advance of the Coca-Cola 600. This free festival features live music, a hot dog-eating contest, driver appearances and a Kids Zone. It takes place on Tryon Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, with the main stage at NASCAR Hall of Fame Plaza. The band .38 Special will perform at 9:30 p.m. Saturday. LPGA Symetra Classic

Normally, admission for this final round of the Symetra Classic, LPGA’s developmental tour, is $10. But it’s free for any current or former military member with military ID, kids under 16, and anybody who brings three nonperishable food donations for Second Harvest Food Bank.
