With August right around the corner, it's time to start planning your fall race calendar. Charlotte is packed with tons of fun road races in a variety of distances throughout the fall months. Whether you're looking for a trail run, fun run, 5K, 10K, half or full marathon, there's a race for you! Having a plan for what races you are going to run will keep you motivated and moving. Check out our race calendar for a full listing of local races.
Run Charlotte Run and OrthoCarolina invite you to kick off your fall racing season by joining us for the OrthoCarolina Classic. The race is held on August 23 and features a 10K, 5K run/walk and a 50 yard kids dash. The event is family friendly with the goal of promoting active families and healthy lifestyles.
The OrthoCarolina Classic is also a great opportunity to race the 10K distance. While we have an abundance of 5K races, the 10K is a little harder to come by in Charlotte. Be sure to check out our 10K training resources.
The course begins and ends at OrthoCarolina on Randolph Road and the course offers a beautiful and challenging route with a view of the skyline. The OrthoCarolina Classic raises awareness for several local charities and community organizations. After the raise hang around to enjoy music from WFNZ, beer from NoDa Brewing Company and food from Chick-Fil-A.
This is the last week to register before rates increase so visit the OrthoCarolina Classic website and register today! We'll see you at the race!
