Morgan Williams, 16, plans to be at the Sept. 28 Lake Wylie Children’s Charity Benefit Concert being in her honor this year.
The concert noon-7 p.m. at T-Bones on the Lake, in the grass area overlooking the main channel of the lake. The lineup features bands Bobby Ray Bittle, Early Ray, Stolen Hearts, The SwashTones, Noma Trio featuring Jill Dineen and Fiftywatt Freight Train.
The day includes a silent auction, games, concessions and other activities.
Williams, who has Crohn’s disease, hasn’t had a day outside her home or hospital since February.

“I want to be there,” Morgan said. “And I want to come back next year and help.”
A howl-at-the-moon night poker run will be Oct. 18 with stops still being finalized.
This year also brings the Pay to Pie Challenge, in which participants nominate others to take a whipped-cream pie to the face or pay up; and the Pay it Forward Challenge, in which volunteers challenge Facebook friends to send $1.
So far with a golf tournament at River Hills Country Club and the sixth annual Captain Clueless Race for the Cup in August, $15,000 has been raised.
Organizers hope to reach or exceed last year’s total of more than $50,000.
