While in Hawaii for business, Jeremy and I decided we would take a week of vacation and enjoy the beautiful island. Ever since we met, we had talked about going skydiving. We had read that Hawaii is one of the most beautiful places to jump, so we decided to take our first jump there. Because it was our first time, we went tandem. Jeremy and his partner jumped first, followed by my partner and me. After the free fall, my tandem buddy asked if I could see the white rectangle on the ground. I told him, “Sure,” figuring it was the van that would take us back to base. As we continued to descend, he began asking me if I could read it. I was confused. I thought if there was something on the ground, he should have known what it was or what it said.
He continued to ask me over and over, and I started to wonder if the sign was for me. We were fairly close before I was able to actually read the sign, but then I saw it: “Laura, will you marry me?” As I floated over the sign, my head wouldn’t stop nodding a very positive yes! Once on the ground, Jeremy proceeded to get down on one knee and make it official.
Laura and Jeremy will be married May 15, 2010.
