Perhaps you never cared whether #thedress is #blueandblack or #whiteandgold. Maybe you had initially been interested, and now you'd rather bury yourself in the warm folds of CPAC minutiae, here's how to block hashtags and topics on Twitter.
TweetDeck: In the left rail, click the gear icon and select Settings. Click Mute, and enter your hated phrase or hashtag. Click the Mute button to confirm.
Mobile: There doesn't seem to be a way to mute specific words or hashtags in Twitter's native apps. Third-party apps or browser extensions like Tweetlogix and Open Tweet Filter seem to do the trick.
