Seeking a Charlotte makeover? We’ve got 3 to offer to readers

The Observer, in a collaboration with SouthPark mall, wants to offer three readers makeovers.

Tell us in an email to style@charlotteobserver why you – or someone else, if you’re nominating someone else – would be a great candidate for this.

Are you applying for a job that needs a new look? Have you undergone something that’s changed your look, or necessitates a new one? Just feel as if you need to shake everything up? Attach a photo from a typical day.

We’ll choose three readers total, seeking a diverse range of looks and reasons for makeovers, and SouthPark mall’s personal shopper, wardrobe consultant Suzanne Libfraind will meet with each individually.

She’ll find out each reader’s price range and preferences, then collaborate on a new look, offering general tips, too. Each will get a $100 Simon Giftcard (for something she’s suggested or anything else) along with a complimentary haircut and styling from Carmen Carmen Salon & Spa and a makeup consultation from Aveda, both at SouthPark.

A reporter and photographer will accompany each reader as they get advice and consultations, and we’ll run a story about each makeover. If you’re nominating someone else, that person will need to be willing to be written about, since we hope to share good information from each session with all our readers.
