Parisians are so chic, oui? Oui!
An up-and-coming exclusive line at Macy’s is inspired by Parisian street style (think: equal parts playful and sophisticated). Meet Maison Jules, the contemporary clothing line that features simple silhouettes enhanced with sweet details – like lace hems, bows and embellished collars. While it’s inspired by one of the world’s style capitals, the price points are certainly budget-friendly.
Our favorite piece in the winter collection? A cream sweater accented by metallic dots and a chiffon hem. Maison Jules Long-Sleeve Caviar Dotted Layered-Look Top, on sale $39.99, Macys.com
2. Cocoa-infused makeup
Too Faced, one of our go-to beauty brands, has launched a new line of chocolate-inspired makeup just in time for Valentine’s season.
The beauty brand is sweetening up some of its cosmetics by infusing antioxidant-rich cocoa into lip gloss and eye shadows. (Yes, it’s chocolate-scented!).
Looking to give a “galentine” to one of your best gal pals this Valentine’s Day? Check out the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Eye Palette Palette with 14 cocoa-powder enriched shadows – including brights and neutrals. Chocolate Bar Eye Palette, $49, Sephora.com
3. Red-carpet worthy
Meet fashion’s newest darling: Self-Portrait. The high-end, London-based brand debuted in 2013 and is created by designer Han Chong. The inspiration? A contemporary line that is red carpet-worthy.
Self-Portrait has found fans in celebs like Reese Witherspoon, Kristen Stewart and Beyonce.
If you’re looking to invest in an of-the-moment piece for a big event or to have in your rotation for special evenings, check out Self-Portrait’s new arrivals. The latest collection capitalizes on the ultra-feminine fashion predictions of 2016 with ruffles, lace and off-the-shoulder tops.
We’re swooning over the textures and layers on this tiered, lace dress. Self-Portrait 3/4-Sleeve Guipure Lace A-Line Dress, on sale $176, Neiman Marcus
4. Do good while you shop
A retail trend that we can’t get enough of? Consciously made products that donate a portion of proceeds to charity.
The Parks Project collection at Target includes T-shirts, hats, key chains and sleeveless shirts. A portion of each sale goes toward projects in America’s National Parks. A few examples: Trail restoration in Texas’ Big Bend, buying bear-proof canisters in Alaska’s Denali National Park to protect the grizzlies and planting Joshua trees in Joshua Tree National Park in California.
A two-toned canvas hat with a topographical print has a cool look – and even cooler message. An inside taping reads: “Promote, protect, preserve.” Parks Project Camp Hat, on sale $17, Target.com
