The building on West Morehead Street that had been Savor already has a new tenant.

JackBeagles, the tavern with food in NoDa that’s known for indulgent versions of macaroni and cheese, will add another location in Savor’s old building, 1404 W. Morehead St., according to general manager Mick McGuire. He confirmed that JackBeagles signed a lease on the building Tuesday.

McGuire doesn’t have a date for opening, beyond “as soon as possible.” The kitchen will need some changes to match their operation, he said.

JackBeagles also is building another location in Mount Holly right now, but the West Morehead location probably will be open first.

Savor originally was opened by Lori Pearson and her friend Lisa Burris. Pearson, who has had health problems, sold it last year and moved back to her hometown near Charleston to be closer to family. The second owner had it about a year before it closed in early July.
