Q: I'm headed to college in a few months, but I don't have any idea why I'm going there or what I want to study. I've considered all kinds of careers, but how can I know which is the right one for me? I don't want to make a mistake.
The most important advice I can give you is to seek God's will for your future. He knows what is best for you and can be trusted to show you the right path in life.

How can you know God's will? The first step is to know him in a personal way by giving your life to Jesus Christ and asking him to be your lord and savior. If you have never done so, turn to Christ today and by a simple prayer of faith commit your life to him. When you do, you will become a child of God – and God delights in protecting and guiding his children.
Then ask him to help you make right decisions about your future. Trust him to guide you as you seek his will, and make it a matter of constant prayer. Let his word, the Bible, also guide you as it teaches you what God considers important. In addition, ask him to help you assess your own abilities. The Bible says, “Trust in the Lord will all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.” (Proverbs 3:5-6).
God doesn't always show us the whole path that lies ahead of us; often all he shows us in the next step. But that is all we need to know!
