Blue Ridge BBQ festival in Top 10

The Blue Ridge BBQ & Music Festival in Tryon, coming up June 13-14, got a boost from the website Thrillist.com this month.

Thrillist sends out daily lists like “The 33 Best BBQ Joints” or “The 21 Best Ice Cream Shops.” May 7’s list was “The Top 10 BBQ Festivals and Competitions.” Blue Ridge made the list, along with Memphis in May, the Jack Daniels Invitational and the Big Apple Block Party in New York. Find the list on www.thrillist.com, and get details of this year’s Blue Ridge festival at www.blueridgebbqfestival.com. Kathleen Purvis
