Jenifer, Ellie and Levi flew to Wisconsin early Wednesday morning to visit family and have summer fun.
I took Thursday and Friday off work so I could get everything harvested around here.
It has been a welcome break from picking squash, tomatoes and beans at my day job to just hanging out around here picking beans, tomatoes and squash.
Simple, delicious dish
Throw some shelled crowder peas and October beans in boiling water and cook until tender.
Drain and then add some cut-up tomatoes, some garlic and onion if you like, and stew the tomatoes until tender. Season with salt and pepper.
Jenifer made a big pot before she left for Wisconsin, so that is what I have been eating since Wednesday, usually along with a tomato sandwich and a couple of homemade pickles.
