Two developments in the video department:
▪ “Order/Fire” is a new culinary video web series by Marc Jacksina and photographer Peter Taylor featuring conversations with local chefs. The first episode, with Clark Barlowe of Heirloom, will debut Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. at Free Range Brewing, 2320 N. Davidson St., with music by the Loose Lugnuts and the first 100 beers provided by Asterisk Creative.
You can watch outtakes from the first “Order/Fire,” featuring Jacksina and Barlowe chewing over issues like sage in livermush and the potential of N.C. wines, at www.orderfireclt.com. (Is it just me, or does Jacksina really call it “liver-moosh”?) Watch for more videos to come, including Blake Hartwick, Greg Auten and Alyssa Gorelick.
▪ Salisbury-based Cheerwine has a new eight-episode documentary series, “The Local Legend Project,” featuring topics from all over the South. A few are on food, including No. 7, “NC-Q,” on North Carolina barbecue. Others cover things like “Juke Joints & Music Halls,” and “Legendary Locals.” You can find the series on web-based video platforms, including iTunes, VIKI, Vimeo, Amazon Instant Video, Google Play, Daily Motion and Vessel.
