I had lived through middle school and somehow survived. I had made it as a mother of a middle school boy and somehow survived. But when my daughter started middle school last year I was terrified, and though I can’t quite yet say I survived, I am able to say thank you to the tools she and I rely on that we learned at the “Right in the Middle” conference.
The conference is led by Charlotte mother Michelle Icard, author of Middle School Makeover, and focuses on rising 6th and 7th grade girls and their mothers, in an effort to make the most out of those middle school years.
Topics include “Media Matters,” with a focus on how media impacts and motivate our lives, “Friends and Frenemies,” helping mothers understand how and when to get involved in friendship drama, an expert panel question and answer session, social media tips, as well as a little mother-daughter bonding and fun.
