Fun Family Time: Carolina Renaissance Festival
Take a magical tour through time and legend at Carolina Renaissance Festival. A medieval-inspired amusement park featuring 12 stages of theater, a 25-acre circus, an arts-and-crafts fair, a jousting tournament, and feast fit for a King!
Who: Everyone – adults and kids of all ages!
Where: Just north of Charlotte between Concord and Huntersville on Highway 73 at Popular Tent Road. Take exit 25 on 1-77 and exits 52 or 55 on I-85.
When: Every Saturday and Sunday from October 1 through November 20
Festival Hours: 10:00 am until 5:30 pm – rain or shine
Ticket Information: Advance Discount Tickets: $23 for adults and $13 for kids ages 5-12 are available at Harris Teeter stores region wide. Children under 5 are free. Tickets purchased at the gate are $1 more.
Senior (60 and over) and Military discount tickets with Military ID are $21 at the gate. Child dependents of military personnel are $11.

Entertainment: You’ll find non-stop entertainment on 12 stages ranging from interactive theatre, comedy, acrobats, medieval musicians, singers, dancers, storytellers, magicians, to puppeteers. With this much going on, your family may never want to leave their magical, daylong adventure.
Arts & Crafts: Wandering down the early European village streets, you’ll see artisans crafting original works from stained glass, pottery, and glass blowing, and more!
Games: Archery, ax-throwing, castle-storming, and climbing Jacob’s ladder are just a few ways to challenge yourself in the medieval world. You can try out human-powered rides such as da Vinci’s Flying Machine, Voyage to the New World, and the Swan Swing. Don’t miss throwing tomatoes at the surly fools locked in the stocks at Vegetable Justice.
Food: The tantalizing aromas of roast turkey drumsticks, steak-on-a-stick, bread bowl stews, and more are sure to give you an insatiable appetite. When it’s time for sweets, you’ll find a variety of unique desserts at The Cottage Bakery, The Cappuccino Inn, and The Cottage Chocolate Shoppe.
