Concord–based S&D Coffee, Inc. has been providing the foodservice industry with custom coffee and iced tea for decades, and have now added a retail product geared toward families who want to make sure their children are drinking enough milk.
The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends children and adolescents get 2 to 3 cups of dairy products – including milk – every day, but getting growing children to choose milk can be a challenge. For many parents, the answer has been to add chocolate or strawberry flavoring to milk to add flavor. But those flavorings add extra unnecessary calories as well.
MilkSplash was developed by S&D to turn plain milk into a tasty snack for kids. Currently, there are six flavors from which to choose:
· Coco Loco (milk chocolate)
