What makes Halloween even more special? When the day of tricks is your birthday treat day as well! Grab your broomsticks and party hats because in addition to being Halloween, October 31 is also Discovery Place's birthday. Help celebrate this Uptown favorite turn 34 (yes, 34!) with a fun-filled afternoon of spooky science activities, animal encounters with our resident creepy critters and candy-free trick-or-treating from 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Another hauntingly good time will also take place just down the road with Spinning Spiders and Creepy Crawlers at Charlotte Nature Museum. From 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Enjoy not-so-scary activities for kids, including live animal encounters, puppet shows, story time, crafts and more.

Enjoy safe trick-or-treating, face painting and games at Discovery Place KIDS in Huntersville or Rockingham. Activity stations will be set up around each Museum at 11:00 a.m., with a special Halloween-themed performance by the Cornelius Youth Orchestra at 3:00 p.m. in Huntersville.

All activities are included with Museum admission. Get full details at http://www.discoveryplace.org/.
