#GivingTuesdayCLT kicks off to raise $2 million for local nonprofits

SHARE Charlotte is kicking off its second-annual #GivingTuesdayCLT campaign, presented by Google Fiber and sponsored by 34 partner organizations, to raise a record $2 million to fund 108 participating local nonprofits in the greater Charlotte area. Leading up to December 1, the day of the global #GivingTuesday movement, the Charlotte community will have three weeks to give back to a diverse list of local nonprofits. This is a great opportunity for families to give back to our community, by making a financial donation, shopping participating nonprofits’ wish lists, or volunteering time or help.

Additionally, SHARE Charlotte has partnered with the Charlotte Checkers during their November 25 game against the San Jose Barracuda at 7:00 p.m. For every $16 ticket sold, $5 will go to #GivingTuesdayCLT’s General Donation Fund. Fans can purchase tickets on and enter the promo code: sharecharlotte (one word). #GivingTuesdayCLT has a goal to sell at least 200 tickets to participate in the Checker’s “Chuck-a-Puck” promotion.
