Laundry. The bane of every mother’s existence. As soon as you close the dryer door it seems there’s another mountain of mess to start again. Now one Charlotte-based company is hoping to ease the pain of moms throughout the Queen City with their premium door-to-door laundry and dry cleaning delivery service.
2U Laundry was a finalist on ABC’s Shark Tank and launched in Charlotte this fall. The concept is simple...sign up for one of 2U’s packages, customize your membership to your preferences and preferred pick-up schedule, and then let the professionals take care of the dirty work while you’re out enjoying new found free time.
On average, one load of laundry takes two hours. For a Charlotte family of three, that translates into 20+ hours spent on laundry per month. 100% of 2U Laundry’s members have a washer and dryer in their home but understand the value of the time that 2U aims to give back to them with premium laundry delivery services.
What started as a class room project at Wake Forest University with just $40 in capital has now developed into a fully-fledged LLC that services the greater Charlotte area. 2U Laundry differentiates itself from its competitors by investing in the local community and ensuring 2U and its customers are stewards of the environment throughout the entire process. For example, each customer receives a customized box to place extra hangers in for 2U to pick up and recycle, and they encourage members to give back to the local community by cleaning out closets and participating in clothing donation campaigns 2U runs with Planet Aid.
And their tag line, “From dirty-to-clean with no work in between!” sounds like a mom’s dream come true.
