Title: Sonia Sotomayor: A Judge Grows in the Bronx

Author:by Johah Winter and Edel Rodriguez

Ages: K - 3rd grade

In honor of Women’s History Month, this month’s review is all about the first Latin American Supreme Court Justice of the United States; Sonia Sotomayor. Each page is full of rich, colorful images that depict Sonia’s journey from the Bronx, New York to the highest court in the land.

Although the story tells of Sonia’s humble beginnings, and an unfortunate medical setback, neither of those instances prevented her from becoming the successful woman she is today. Written in English and Spanish, children and parents will get an educational glimpse into the life of this 21st century female pioneer.
