Whether your family knows every von Trapp by name or has never uttered the words “Do-Re-Mi,” a family night at Carolina Theatre’s “Movies Under the Stars” on Thursday, July 21 is a must.
The theatre celebrates its history with a four-part outdoor film series, kicking off with the beloved “The Sound of Music,” which will be shown in the Carolina Theatre Pocket Park on the corner of North Tryon and Sixth. Thursday nights, July 21-Aug. 11 will feature entertainment and vendors selling “movie snacks,” starting at 7:30 p.m. The movies begin at 8:30 p.m. All films are free and open to the public, and moviegoers are encouraged to bring blankets or chairs to sit on.
