Lots of free fun around town this week…..

All Week Long

CLTFreeWorkout is a free, bodyweight-based workout designed by OrthoCarolina in six neighborhoods around town that will get your heart pumping and offer an alternative to your normal gym routine.

Tuesday, August 9

The free movie at Ayrsley’s Grand Cinema at 10:00 am is Goosebumps. (9110 Kings Parade Blvd Charlotte)

The free movie at Gem Theatre in Kannapolis at 10:00 am is Norm of the North (111 West 1st Street, Kannapolis)

Terrific Tuesday show at ImaginOn, 1 & 3pm will be Fish the Magish, presented by Charlotte Mecklenburg Library.

Wednesday, August 10

Storybook Tales with Bright Star at 10:30 a.m., Veterans Park, Kannapolis

Free evening admission at Mint Museum, at both their locations, 500 South Tryon Street and 2730 Randolph Road, from 5pm to 9pm. Also please check back on the Mint Museum’s website (or here on Charlotte on the Cheap) for the free programs that will sometimes take place on free admission Wednesdays. In addition, check out the big list of free days at Charlotte area museums.

Free improv for kids ages 9-16, the Last Word from 2:00-3:00

Pineville Rockin & Reelin at Pineville Lake Park (1000 Johnston Drive, Pineville) will show the movie Max at dusk.

1st Ward Food Fest, from 4:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Kid-friendly, pet-friendly, BYOB event for food trucks, live music and a movie, plus fun stuff like cornhole, trivia and a photo booth. 710 East 7th Street, next to Enclave Apartments.
