If it’s your child’s first time riding the bus, the School Bus Safety Web is worth checking out. Also consider requesting a visit from Buster or Gus the Bus - kids love these visits and they help ease the fears about riding the bus.
In addition to Parent University, a program that offers free courses, family events and activities aimed at equipping families with new or additional skills, knowledge, resources and confidence, the CMS website offers links to literacy, learning and advocacy resources here. http://www.cms.k12.nc.us/parents/ParentUniv/Pages/ParentResources.aspx
Bells start ringing as early as 7:15 and as late as 9:15 throughout CMS. Make sure you know when your school bell rings by checking the list here. http://www.cms.k12.nc.us/mediaroom/Documents/2016-2017%20Bell%20Schedule.pdf
