I have a silly question...how much weight should you gain during pregnancy?
I have been reading things on the Internet that say 25-35 pounds, but this is if you started off with a normal weight and BMI. if you started off overweight then it says you should only gain 15-25 pounds and if you started out underweight, then to try to gain 28-40 pounds.
When do all of those pounds start kicking in? I am comparing myself to a few other people I know who are pregnant and due around the same time I am (within 4-5 weeks) and it seems like I am not gaining as much weight as I should be.

The doctor said my weight gain is fine (but that was the old OB I didn't like). I am almost 26 weeks and have only gained about 5 pounds. Does this mean I am going to blow up these last 3 months or am I not gaining enough?
I was just interested in everyone's thoughts.
