From the Charlotte Nature Museum: Charlotte Nature Museum’s newest resident, an American alligator, has been named “Snappy” after the results of a recent naming poll conducted by the Museum. The name pays honor to the species' powerful jaws.
Estimated to be about 2 1/2 years old, Snappy is now on exhibit at the museum. There are believed to be more than one million alligators in the Southeast United States.
