Free class on wildlife habitats

By MomsCharlotte.com

Looking for a way to get the kids outside more often (or at least get them involved in the yardwork)?

Come to the Matthews Library at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 1. Debbie Foster of HAWK - Habitat and Wildlife Keepers - will teach a free class on how to create a certified wildlife habitat at your home, place of worship, business or school.

All are invited, but Matthews residents can learn how to be part of Matthews Naturally, HAWK's effort to earn Community Wildlife Habitat certification through the National Wildlife Federation. You can be part of this historic project!

HAWK is a chapter of the North Carolina Wildlife Federation. For more information on the groups events: www.habitatsteward.org.
