It’s every parent’s nightmare. You want to enjoy a nice, quiet meal and the kids aren’t cooperating. They’re sword-fighting with knives, shoveling pasta with their fingers, climbing under the table and ordering the waitress around like ill-tempered kings and queens. You’re mortified.
The Brixx location in Uptown Charlotte will hold a 30-minute course on basic restaurant etiquette for children ages 5 to 10 taught by Lashaune Tisdale, director of training for Charlotte’s Academy of Etiquette and Charm. The class will focus on proper table manners for dining in casual restaurants, covering proper posture, table manners, ordering from the menu, polite communication with the server and the proper use of a fork and knife.
Seating is limited, so interested parties are encouraged to secure their place at the table as soon as possible.
