Before you even fill your trash cans to the brim and start to make your new year’s resolutions here are a few tips to get started on the next holiday season.
Have ornaments you never use or that are broken that just stay in the box? Toss them or donate them to de-clutter your decorations. Has your Christmas wreath seen better days, use this time to get rid of it? As you de-clutter make a list of holiday decoration you will need for next year including linens and dishware. Discard gift boxes or gift bags that have seen better days.

While the after the holiday chaos maybe just too crazy for some, shoppers and get the very best deals on everything holiday including decorations, boxes of holiday cards and holiday dishes and bake ware. Visit the local drug stores to score some great deals on holiday gift sets of your favorite lotion, shower get or body wash. Toys are heavily discounted. Stock up now for upcoming birthdays.
One of my favorites ways to save for the holidays is the is the Yankee Candle After Christmas sale. They will have high quality wrapping paper as cheap as $2 a roll and all of their holiday scented candles and accessories as cheap as you will see all year. Stock up and buy extra candles to fill a few of your needs on your holiday gift list for next year.
Before you discard your holiday cards, check for any new addresses and make note of anyone you may be able to leave off your list next year.
