This is the third full grocery week of the month so there are lots of house brands on sale at your local grocery store. Remember that generally store brands will always be cheaper than national brands UNLESS you have a coupon and the national brand is one sale. Sometimes cheaper is more expensive.
A good example? – Cheap paper towels – if you use twice as many cheap paper towels to clean up messes, is it really cheaper than a better quality (more expensive) paper towel?

This is the time of year where cereal is VERY cheap. Consider that cereal is not just a breakfast food but can be used as: · A sweet treat – combine with melted marshmallows, butter and even chocolate chips to create cereal bars. · Trail Mix – combine with cranberries, raisins, nuts and make a healthy snack mix. · Some cereals can be crushed and used as breading – like Corn Flakes. · I have even read where combining cereal and hamburger makes good catfish bait – who knew?? In today’s paper – there are 2 inserts plus coupons in the Parade magazine.
