Create a Fabulous & Frugal Home Makeover

Would you like to update your home without spending a fortune?

These days as a result of the slow housing market, more people are staying in the house they currently live in, rather than moving, and are choosing to update and freshen their property.

You may not know about a fabulous resource here in Charlotte that can help you create a fabulous home makeover for very little money.

It is the Habitat for Humanity ReStore.

According to their website, A ReStore is a store that accepts donations of new and gently construction and home related items from individuals and businesses in the community, and sells those items to the public at a reduced cost, usually 50-70 percent of the original retail value. They sell everything from cabinets to furniture to teacups at the ReStore!

All proceeds from the stores go toward building Habitat homes with the local Habitat affiliate.

Charlotte has 2 ReStore locations, one at 1133 N Wendover Rd and the other at 3326 Wilkinson Blvd.

I recently visited the Wendover Road ReStore and was amazed at the phenomenal bargains there!

This stunning pink pedestal sink is priced at only $22! Wow!  That would look amazing in a powder room!

Need to update a lighting fixture?  Check out this selection of fabulous fixtures that range in price from $15 to $295.

How about an entire set of cabinets for only $650!  That's a steal!  You could completely makeover an entire kitchen!

Feast your eyes on the fabulous 12' by 10' hooked wool rug I spotted in very good condition for only $120!  That's a fraction of the value! Rugs are priced at only $1 a foot at the ReStore!

The detailing on this fabulous hooked rug is amazing!  What a super deal!

This handsome solid wood armoire is only $250! Use this beauty to store a TV or a computer in a home or office or it would be awesome in a bedroom loaded with clothes!

Create an entirely new look for your home by shopping at a ReStore and feel great knowing that not only are you getting a terrific bargain, you are helping fund Habitat for Humanity homes right here in Charlotte!

There have already been 39 homes built in Charlotte from the proceeds of the ReStores!

This concept is great for the environment too, because items are being reused and recycled so they don't wind up in a landfill! It is truly a winning solution all around!

Check out a ReStore before you pay retail at a store!  You will be glad you did!
