Lost luggage may soon become as rare as lost airline tickets with new technology designed to track your bags, your purse or your iPad.
One example of this technology is a $25 gadget called Tile. The tracker emits a wireless signal for up to 100 feet. It also uses a network of other Tile users to help owners find missing objects.
Tile is just one of several new ways travelers are finding lost belongings. They include devices that use such technology as Bluetooth and GPS and leverage the power of crowd-sourcing to find and retrieve your items. They’re worth considering for your next trip.
