Nutty trick works on pistachios
Here’s a simple trick to use when you get a pistachio that you can’t crack. Usually you can insert half of a discarded shell into the crack of a partially opened nut, give it a twist and “ta-da,” the nifty nugget is there for the noshing. While this doesn’t work for completely closed nuts, it works about 90 percent of the time if the shell is partially opened.
