Suitcase works wonder for clothes storage
I was expecting a guest and needed to free up some closet space. My summer clothes were in three different closets. I remembered a big, old suitcase I had brought down from the attic and cleaned up. I stored my slacks, capris and shorts in one side and lightweight tee sand blouses in the other. Luckily both sides have covers that are snapped into place. Now my summer casual wear is neatly stashed in one place! Doris Wheeler Monroe

Each year as the summer ends and fall is here it is hard for us to change beautiful blooming summer flowers and plant our pansies and tulips. My tip is to take your pots out to a place you can dump the plant out of the pot. The plant has been in this pot long enough for it to stand alone without the pot. That allows you to reuse the pot for fall/winter flowers and also to enjoy your summer flowers until the freeze. You can water the old plant and continue enjoying the blooms until the freeze kills the plant. Molly Warner, Charlotte
