Samaritan appears and then vanishes before she can say ‘thank you’

I was recently involved in an accident on McKee Road. Seconds after my car came to rest on the bank, a white car pulled to the shoulder, and a young man came to ask if I was hurt. He asked my name and introduced himself as David. While OnStar located my sons, David talked to me, offered water and did his best to keep me calm.

When the firemen and EMTs came, David stepped away, while I answered their questions. Days later, I realized I didn’t see him leave, didn’t get his last name, nor did I get to thank him. This is my opportunity to say, “Thanks, David, for coming to the aid of an old lady in distress.” Anne S. Grier, Matthews
