Know how I can tell it’s fall? My skin has lost it’s moisture seemingly overnight.
My cuticles are ragged and picky. After a summer of fighting an oil slick on my face, my forehead is now like an arid desert crying out for a drop of water.
In an effort to restore balance before my face becomes one giant, dry flake, I’ve rediscovered a favorite cleanser: Shu Uemura cleansing oil.
I know, it seems counter intuitive to use oil to clean your face, but the fabulous Bobbi Brown opened my mind to the premise some years back during an interview. She listed cleansing oil among her personal beauty essentials.
If it’s good enough for Bobbi, it’s good enough for me. And, as an added bonus, it’s a great multi-purpose product for those of us who tend to be lazy beauty junkies: the Shu cleansing oil is a fantastic, gentile eye makeup remover.
Shu has a range of cleansing oil options, but my favorite is the a/o advanced formula which helps with anti-aging. The oil has green tea and ginko leaf extracts packed with flavinoids, which have anti-oxidant and micro circulation properties. Exfoliation is gentle but very effective.
After rinsing off the oil, your face feels clean, but not immediately tight and dry. It’s soft, supple and primed for the rest of your skin care regiment.
