The vibrancy and ongoing growth of the craft beer industry in Charlotte is apparent. From bottle shops and beer crawls to a new brewery popping up in every neighborhood, we are lucky enough to not only be saturated with high quality beer, but a high quality group of people leading that charge.

So, inside this issue, we decided to show you a different side of six beer-brazen men who are leading the (six) pack and I was on-tap for some behind-the-scenes fun. The photo shoots took us to Rural Hill, NoDa, South End and back again—each location a different personality and each personality a different outfit from local shops. If only just for the day, our SouthPark stylists helped these boys amp up their style—rocking summer cardigans and colorful bowties to breezy blazers and tailored suits, Chris, Kurt, Chad, Jason, Jeff and Mark were all treated like models and each definitely proved to look like one.

From helping Kurt try to keep his big smile at bay for a more serious photo at Heist, to making a cameo in one of NODA Brewing’s ever-popular viral videos with Chad, you can see the full spread featuring these dapper gentlemen in our July issue, on stands today.

Lowcountry South Carolina offers all manner of allure for the extended weekend vacationer. And there are few finer options than Hilton Head Island’s renowned Sea Pines Resort for the ultimate sun and fun retreat. Long heralded for its genteel accommodations, casually elegant low-country inspired dining, a tennis program headed up by legend Stan Smith, and some of the most scenic and challenging golf in the southeast; Sea Pines is an easy four-hour drive from Charlotte.

The regional crown jewel collects awards like Cam Newton picks up footballs. Last year they were recognized by Forbes Travel with a Four Star rating and are a perennial AAA Four Diamond award winner. Yet the host to the annual PGA RBC Heritage Classic Golf Tournament takes its hospitality to a new level with two impressive additions to their property this year. Opening just in time for the 2015 golf tournament in April, the newly constructed 26,000 square foot clubhouse at the Harbour Town Golf Links is perched off the first tee and easy walking distancefrom the resort’s signature accommodations, the Inn at Harbour Town. The expansive terraces and covered porches offer stunning course views and the perfect spot to enjoy a post round libation or a lazy afternoon lunch.
