American Airlines is adding a brief seasonal flight between Charlotte and Albuquerque, New Mexico, the company said Tuesday.
The nonstop flight – a first for Charlotte – will operate for about 10 weeks, from June 5 through Aug. 18. American will operate the flight on a 150-seat Airbus A320.
Charlotte Douglas International Airport is American’s second-busiest hub, after Dallas/Fort Worth. The airline operates more than 90 percent of Charlotte’s 700 daily flights, and has bulked up its domestic network from Charlotte since its December 2013 merger with US Airways.
