After years of operating in coworking spaces, Charlotte-based DealCloud has signed a lease in an uptown office space at South Church Street and West Fourth Street, in the Kings Kitchen building. The software company will move early next week.
DealCloud is subleasing 3,300 square feet of space at 129 W. Trade St. The company had been at Industry Coworking for a year, and before that was at Packard Place for four years.
“(We’re) excited about moving back to center city and ‘graduating’ from coworking into our own space,” co-founder and Director Rob Cummings said in an email.
DealCloud, an online platform for streamlining mergers and acquisitions, has 20 employees, who are split between Charlotte and its office in New York/New Jersey.
Cummings and Ben Harrison started DealCloud in 2010 after recognizing a need in the market while working together at Falfurrias Capital Partners, the Charlotte private equity firm co-founded by former Bank of America CEO Hugh McColl Jr.
Earlier this year, the company completed a round of growth financing totaling $5.3 million to help fuel its expansion and product development.
