Charlotte business leaders will discuss the challenges of climate change, and a group formed by Al Gore will offer its views of global warming and its causes at a meeting Tuesday that's admission-free.
The Charlotte Chamber is hosting the event from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Duke Mansion at 400 Hermitage Road.
The Climate Project, formed in 2006 by former Vice President Al Gore, trains people in how to give global warming presentations similar to that shown in Gore's Academy Award-winning movie, “An Inconvenient Truth.”
The panelists include executives from Duke Energy Corp., Wachovia Corp., Lowe's Cos. Inc., UNC's Kenan-Flagler business school and North Highland Co.
The business leaders plan to discuss the current moral, social and governmental demands they face as they deal with global warming. The event is free, but registration is required. For more information, log on to www.charlottechamber.com to sign up.
