Charlotte-based advertising agency BooneOakley will represent the company that operates the Wells Fargo Championship, the group said Friday.
BooneOakley, which also represents such clients as Bojangles’ and Autobell Car Wash, replaces Luquire George Andrews, also a Charlotte-based firm.
“We researched and visited numerous agencies, and from our first meeting with BooneOakley there was no doubt they understood our goals, and immediately helped us look at new ways to achieve them,” said executive director Kym Hougham, in a statement. “The team at BooneOakley shares our passion and energy to make the Wells Fargo Championship a premier sporting event in the Carolinas as well as one of the top events on the PGA Tour.”
The Wells Fargo Championship tournament is held annually at the Quail Hollow Club.
