Charlotte-based manufacturer Curtiss-Wright said CEO David Adams has added the title of chairman, as part of a succession plan announced last year.
Former executive chairman Martin Benante retired from the company, effective Jan. 1. He will remain on the board of directors until Curtiss-Wright’s annual meeting in May.
Curtiss-Wright, which has roots to the Wright brothers, said it will continue to have a lead director to preside over executive sessions of the board.
