A former NationsBank executive has joined Raleigh-based Paragon Bank as a senior vice president and business-development officer in the company’s Charlotte office.
Rusty Page, former head of investor relations for Charlotte's NationsBank, will be responsible for helping bring prospective clients into Paragon, the bank said Tuesday.
Page, who lives in Charlotte, most recently served as head of his own consulting firm.
He left NationsBank in 1996, two years before it became Bank of America through a merger with San Francisco-based BankAmerica.

After leaving NationsBank, Page joined The Nasdaq Stock Market as senior managing director and was responsible for non-trading activities of Nasdaq stock markets.
Also Tuesday, Paragon said Will Bishop, a former business banker for PNC Financial Services Group, has joined the bank as a senior vice president and client-development officer. Bishop will be based in Paragon’s Charlotte office.
Paragon was founded in 1999 and has $1.3 billion in assets. It provides private banking to businesses, professionals, executives and other individuals.
