Energy technology and infrastructure firm CB&I is moving from uptown to East Morehead Street.
The company signed a lease for two floors of 500 East Morehead, a seven-story office building under construction. The building, developed for Beacon Partners, is set for completion in February 2017.
“CB&I has maintained a presence in North Carolina for more than ten years, and our employees in Charlotte are integral to our operations,” said Philip Asherman, the company’s CEO. “Our investment in this unique and innovative new space is an investment in our people, helping attract the best and the brightest in the highly competitive power industry.”
CB&I is currently based at 121 West Trade Street.
The building at 500 East Morehead totals 180,000 square feet and was started on a speculative basis, meaning no anchor tenants had been signed. Justin Leighton of Transwestern represented CB&I, while Kristy Venning and Charlie Swanson represented Beacon Partners.
