If you’ve driven near Camden Road lately, you’ve seen the steel skeleton of 1616 Center on Camden Road, South End’s newest office tower, rising fast.

The five-story building by Beacon Properties sits next to Price’s Chicken Coop, and it’s set to open in the fourth quarter this year.

Beacon has announced one lease so far for the building, on which it started construction in October. Accounting firm BGW is planning to take 12,000 square feet on the top floor.

The 76,000-square-foot building will wrap around a parking deck, and includes a fitness center and about 10,000-square-feet of ground floor retail. You can check out the work zone camera, along with a time lapse video, online here.
