Charlotte-based Revolve Residential is planning to start construction soon on a new townhouse development in South End called Domain Townhomes.

The 20 new townhouses are planned on Dunavant Street, north of Remount Road. Preliminary construction and site work is set to start in late September, with vertical construction starting in late 2017 or early 2018, with move-ins by late 2018.

Prices starts at $274,900. The “industrial chic,” 1,200 square-foot townhouses will include two bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms and one-car garages.

“We wanted to bring home ownership opportunities to first-time homebuyers, a segment of the market that has been underserved in South End,” said Tim McCollum, principal of Revolve Residential, in a statement. “The design of the project combines industrial influence from the history of the area with contemporary style in order to create a destination that people will be proud to call home for less than their current rent in many cases.”

Features will include private, fenced back courtyards, hardwood floors, kitchens with an island, black, stainless steel appliances from Samsung, 13-foot ceilings in master bedrooms on the third floor, a walk-in closet and an oversized, walk-in shower.

Revolve said the finishes are meant to “better than you’re accustomed to seeing in bland apartments.”

CapRock Building Group is the general contractor, 505 Design and FMK Architecture are the designers, planning is by LandDesign and the construction loan is from by South State Bank. A sales event is planned at Seoul Food Meat Co. at 5 p.m. on Sept. 7, with the sales team from Savvy + Co.
